The purpose of the building is to create a direct relationship between music and audience in the mass society. There are 6.000 seat, and the Nintheen century scheme, with its class division, of the Greek theatre. A great park divides the Auditorium from the city traffic of viale Aventino, creating a significant space to be used during the pauses of the shows. There is a bigger hall connected to the smalle ones, with the same plant design, for the chamber music and the reharsals. The fast exit of the audience was particulary studied and there is a special care for the acoustics.
