Villa "Savarese", Napoli - 1936-1942

where: Napoli, Via Scipione Capece 14

Built in Posillipo five years after villa Oro. The natural slope is organized on orizzontal plans; the main building containing the bedrooms emerges on two levels. In order to reduce the height of counter front at the intermediate level, there is a covered-open porch, that allows to show oneself on the Gulf of Naples from the basement rooms of services, kitchen and playrooms. The villa is very compact and simple, and there is a neat distiction between the day zone on the ground floor with its Western porch and the night zone on the higher floor with the uncovered gymnasium on the roof. A spiral stairway connects the four livels and a ramp connects the two floors out of the ground. The villa has been greatly modified and violated.
