The monumentalism rhetoric that won the competition was opposed by Cosenza with a dynamic composition of volumes that fully absorbed the neoclassic lesson through Gropius’ divulgation. The functional scheme elaborated for the auditorium is encapsulated in in a complex of clear prisms articulated with loggias, arcades and cantilevers displaced in the dynamic turbine scheme. The panels, with plastic representations, free architecture for the expression of meanings, working as advertising tables for the building’s functional destination.
